Corrections/Updates

  • My Lady's Manor: The Yoicks Cup is intended as a vehicle to introduce strong foxhunters to the fun of "Maryland" timber racing. The "To qualify" section of the conditions for this race sets forth possible pathways by which aspirants can be assured that they are ready for the challenges of the My Lady's Manor racecourse. The specific conditions set forth here can and will be waived if the Stewards feel that the entry is possessed of sufficient competence to compete safely. For the Yoicks Cup, as well as the Schapiro Memorial, the 8th and 13th jumps will be eliminated from the course.
  • Howard County - Iron Bridge: The Hurdy Gurdy Owner/Rider Hunter Chase Timber [7] counts towards the County Saddlery Foxchaser Award.
  • The D.M. Smithwick Award for young riders includes the races listed and also includes any non-junior race ridden by a rider who is 21 and under, with the exception of the relay races. Points for this award will be awarded according to the MSA rules (21. Junior Points), meaning that flat races ridden by juniors will be counted at full point value (for this award only). Please see reporting form for full rules.
  • Potomac Hunt Races: Page 34 lists the race day as Sunday, May 17th. The race date is actually Sunday, May 18th.
