THE MARYLAND HUNT CUP - 4:00 PM
(Amateur Timber Stakes)
Purse $75,000. Timber. For Five-Year-Olds and Upward. To be ridden by amateur riders acceptable to the race committee. Five yearolds, 160 lbs.; older, 165 lbs; Mares allowed 8 lbs. Riders, owners and horses acceptable to the Race Committee. Riders must have signed the amateur declaration on the NSA Application for Rider’s License. Nomination fee $100; $300 additional to enter; $500 additional if not scratched on time Wednesday; with $600 additional to start. Supplementary nominations, at a cost of $500, may be made at the time of entry. Four Miles Over Timber.
The owner of the winner will receive the Challenge Bowl, presented by the committee of the Maryland Hunt Cup Association, to be held for one year and to become the permanent property of the owner winning the Maryland Hunt Cup three times, not necessarily with the same horse or in succession. Permanent trophies will be presented to the owner and rider of the winner.

Stabling may be arranged through the Secretary.
Important Notice: Parking stickers must be obtained prior to the day of the race by sending $35 to the Maryland Hunt Cup Association, P.O. Box 224, Glyndon, Maryland 21071. No sales will be made at the course on race day. Badges and parking stickers will be mailed to horsemen tweek preceding the race. No duplicate badges will be mailed.
